Though initially, she wasn't a fan of the film's brutality and sexual violence, she was eventually convinced by the film's feminist tone as well as its the strong characters. Butler played Jennifer Hills who, after being severely attacked in a forest cabin and then gang-raped, seeks revenge against the culprits. Directed by Steven R. Monroe the film was released on October 8th of the 8th of October, 2010. In November 2011, Butler and Estella Warren began shooting the psychological thriller The Stranger Within in Mallorca the Spanish island of Mallorca. The film was also scheduled to shoot at Copenhagen Denmark and New York City.She became part of the feature film independent Treachery starring Michael Biehn which began filming in Los Angeles in June 2012. Butler appeared in The Demented (2013), produced by Michael Welch with Kayla and Michael Welch.
